Day 1
Your adventure begins with your arrival at Guarulhos International Airport, this day we have no activities planned, so you can rest from your trip. Therefore, we will transfer you to the hotel, which is about 20 minutes from the airport.
Generally rooms are available from midday and entering a room before that time entails an additional cost, if you do not want to assume this extra fee, nearby there are restaurants and amazing public areas where you can relax.
We will enjoy a welcome dinner to meet your guides and fellow travelers, here you can also enjoy the national cocktail of Brazil, the famous caipirinha which is made from sugar cane liquor, lemon and sweetener. The night will be spent at the Matiz Guarulhos hotel.

Day 2
Around 9:00 am, we will arrive at Campo Grande Airport to be met by our local guides and take a van or minibus that will transfer us to Aguapé Lodge. This will be a journey of about 4 hours and we will make stops to observe various mammals and birds.
Once we check into our rooms, we will tour this lodge to observe birds such as the Chaco chachalaca, blue macaw, blue-fronted parrot, nanday parakeet, toco toucan, linear woodpeckers, white bird, narrow-billed nuthatch, greater thornbill, giant cowbird, crested oriole, purple-crested jays and the red-crested cardinal.

Day 3 and 4
Aguapé Lodge is located approximately 121.16 miles from Campo Grande. It is home to more than 300 species of birds such as the parakeet, golden hummingbird, toco toucan, pale woodpecker, white woodpecker, red-billed scythe, helmeted manakin, manakin and scarlet-headed blackbird. Here you will be able to observe and photograph interesting birds.
Both days after breakfast we will go on a safari to see the waved tinamou, capuchin heron, jaribu, savannah hawk, rufous tiger heron, yellow-necked ibis and the roseate spoonbill.
After lunch, you can take a nap to go out again in the afternoon to explore the surroundings of this beautiful territory. We will return in the evening to observe exotic mammals such as the crab fox, South American coati, southern tamandua, crab raccoon, river otter and nocturnal birds such as the great crested poto, spectacled owl, striped owl, pauraque and the scissor-tailed nightjar.
You can access an optional fishing activity with local guides and boats.

Day 5
In the morning after touring Aguapé in search of beautiful birds, we will enjoy a motorboat excursion on the Aquidauana River to observe giant otters, birds such as the black-necked hawk, five species of kingfishers, jacamarillo jacamar, blue-throated piping guan and many other truly unique species.
In the afternoon after checking in at the hotel we will enjoy a short visit to the nesterar, where you can observe many macaws and herons that nest near the city of Campo Grande.

Day 6
We will take a flight to Cuiabá, to begin our journey through the magical marshlands. On our trip we will have lunch on the way in a churrascaria that offers pure Brazilian style food.
We will take the famous transpantaneira until we reach the Pousada Piuval, on our way we observe and photograph the beautiful kingfisher, red-crested cardinal, yellow-headed vulture, capybaras and of course the exotic caiman yacare.
Pousada Piuval is part of a 7,000 hectare family ranch, here you will find a swimming pool and truly cozy spaces.

Day 7
After birding around the ranch, we will drive through the transpantaneira, with the objective of observing and photographing red deer, rheas, pumas, curassows and several wading birds. We will cross palm forests, thickets and flooded meadows, in these areas where there are ponds and canals we will see wading birds, roseate spoonbills, surgeon ibis, cormorant macaws, maguari storks and other species.
We will arrive at Porto Joffe, where we will take a small boat to reach our lodge. A charming houseboat, here each day we will take a smaller boat to explore the surroundings.
After checking into our cabins, we will have dinner and a talk on prevention and safety.
If you are up for it, you can choose to participate in a fishing activity.

Day 8
In the morning, we will take a small boat and cruise the river in search of the iconic jaguar, which besides its beauty is known for being an excellent swimmer.
After lunch, you can take a siesta and get ready to go out again in the afternoon to observe unique species of the Brazilian marshlands such as the giant otter, black skimmer, stone plover and the southern screamer.
In the evening, we will celebrate with delicious caipirinhas and enjoy the fascinating starry nights that you can only see in the middle of this secluded place.

Day 9
After two days in the wildest part of the Pantanal, we return north to look for the incredible howler monkey, chestnut-eared aracari, snail kite, red-backed antbird and beautiful birds such as white-browed blackbird, ash-headed greenfinch, sylvan herons and black hawks.
We will arrive at the Mato Grosso Hotel on the Pixium River and check in for the night in this charming place.

Day 10
In the morning we can go on a safari by car or take a short boat ride on the Pixaim River, to see species such as the agami, zig-zag heron and if we are lucky the iconic tapir.
We will have the option to walk through the Gallery Forest, which is the habitat of really special birds such as the helmeted makin, mato grosso antbird, band-tailed antbird, black-capped tanager and blue-crowned trogon.
At dinner you can enjoy an exotic piranha and local meat.

Day 11
We will embark on our return trip to Cuiabá with the goal of arriving in time for connecting night flights to São Paulo.
If you do not manage to plan a flight, you can return to GRU and spend the night in a hotel in Cuiabá. One of the most emblematic places to observe and photograph birds in Mata Atlântica, this national park of Itatiaia located approximately 155.34 miles from São Paulo, hosts one of the highest platforms in all of Brazil.

Physical difficulty
Its extension ranges from the humid Atlantic rainforest at 300 meters, to the high altitude fields at 2,800 meters above sea level. Here you will be able to observe endemic species such as the dark-footed guan, yellow-rumped guan, giant snipe, Brazilian ruby, coquette, saffron toucan, yellow-fronted woodpecker, thistle-tailed woodpecker, eastern slate thrush, golden cotinga and the beautiful cross bill.

Every day of your stay you will have land and sea transportation, so the distances we will travel between each site we visit on the tour will be minimal.
In Brazil, we will travel the Transpantaneira, a 210,000 kilometers long road that despite being of third order is in optimal conditions for access to various tourist sites.
